Course Summary

This course will teach "Basic Spanish" as well as "Medical Spanish". We do not give lists of words for participants to memorize- we teach them how to actually communicate in the language! The following is a list of topics covered in these one-day seminars:

Numbers, Talking about time, Phone Numbers, and Addresses
Family Members, Hispanic Last Names
Days and Months, Making appointments, Talking about Dates
Question Words, Asking Informational Questions
Parts of the Body, Talking about Pain
Patient History, Symptoms, and Present Illness or Injury
Patient Directions
Specific Medical Areas such as: Chiropractic, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Gastrointestinal and Abdominal, Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Burns, Allergies, Cancer, Chaplains, Physical Therapy, Dietician, and Discussing Medication.
