Our Experience
Spanish Horizons offers over eleven years of experience in delivering “Spanish Today” seminars to a wide range of professionals and paraprofessionals across a broad spectrum of occupations. Our work has included the production of a well-developed and extensive manual, a handy pocket guide, and an interactive CD ROM so class participants have everything they need to review the material when needed.
Instructional Strategy
We are known for our creative, entertaining, interactive, and informative seminars. We do not just give lists of words for the participants to learn. We teach them how the brain processes language as well as how to really communicate in the language. Our lessons are kept short and direct so that our participants can easily understand, remember, and build on them. Our seminars are a workshop in which the participant learns how to continue with their language learning from the classroom to their particular fields.
One-Day Occupational Seminars
Our one-day seminars provide each student with basic Spanish instruction as well as vocabulary and phrases specific to their field. Each one-day seminar is 6 hours in length and will give the student much verbal practice of the language. Each student will receive an extensive manual, a handy pocket guide, and an interactive CD-ROM with pronunciation of all words and phrases.
Cost is $145 per participant with materials included.
6 Week Occupational Seminars
Our six week occupational classes provide each student with basic Spanish instruction as well as vocabulary and phrases specific to their field. Each class meets 2 hours one time per week, thus totaling 12 hours of class time. Much verbal practice will be given to the student during class time, and some homework will be assigned.
Cost is $225 per participant with materials included.
