Kids' Spanish Classes

Here at Spanish Horizons, we use mainly two instructional strategies to teach children Spanish. For children (ages 5-10) we expand their vocabulary of Spanish words through thematic camps with kinesthetic teaching methods and add the TPRS (Total Physical Response through Storytelling) method, in which the language is taught through storytelling.

Kids 8-week Spanish Class

Numbers, Colors, Greetings/Farewells, Days of the Week, Food, Sports, School Vocabulary, Hobbies, and Basic Phrases that will lead them into the next level of language learning. Vocabulary will be learned through the development of the following skills:

Story Telling in Spanish, Direct Translation Skills, and Direct Interpretation Skills. These will help lead them to the proficiency level of language learning.

Private/Small Group Spanish Classes for Kids

We also offer Private and Small group classes for 1-4 participants. This is for students who would like more individual instruction time and practice with the teacher. Groups can meet as many times a week as they wish.

Cost:

1 Student - $30 per session
2 Students - $40 per session
3 Students - $50 per session
4 Students - $60 per session

 (minimum of 8 sessions)

Mommie and Me Spanish Classes

For children ages 0 to 4 years of age. There must be one adult for each child.

Through extensive research, it has been proven that the earlier a child is introduced to a second language, the greater the chances are that this child will master both languages. A number of experts attribute this mastery to physiological changes that occur in the maturing brain as a child enters puberty.

Mommie and Me is designed for parents who desire to give their child a head start in the learning process. This 45-minute class is completely interactive and includes hands-on activities, songs, and games for the parent and child to do together. It will not only foster a growing enthusiasm for a second language, but will also give parents the tools they need to begin introducing Spanish into their home.
